"(Shropshire's) poetic dance style, which is inventive but never hacked together (...) comes to a provisional climax in 'About Miss Julie'," wrote Trouw newspaper.

The American choreographer Stephen Shropshire, who lives in the Netherlands, has been receiving international recognition for his choreographies for years. Work that is both aesthetically harmonious and intellectually challenging. This season, Shropshire returns to Parktheater Eindhoven with a breathtaking adaptation of August Strindberg's tragedy Miss Julie. A fierce discourse about class, sexual politics and inequalities. Themes that are still prevalent in society today.
