OPERA2DAY and the New European Ensemble welcome you to the anatomical theater of the psyche. Through the cinematic, minimalistic music by Philip Glass and a story by Master of the Macabre Edgar Allan Poe, you will experience live fantastic visions and terrifying delusions.
The Dutch premiere of Glass' compelling opera The Fall of the House of Usher, about the melancholic Roderick Usher, stands central. The story inspires a journey through all regions of the human mind. OPERA2DAY is once again collaborating with the New European Ensemble, and now also with Scapino Ballet Rotterdam. Their Hamlet (Theaterkrant *****) was nominated by the VSCD as 'most impressive stage performance of the year'.
- The announced introduction prior to the performance will not take place
