New Zealander Sam Wills, a.k.a. Tape Face, is back with a new performance. "Endlessly inventive, terribly funny. Sublime madness", according to the nightlife magazine Time Out. What's so funny and sublime about him? Wills' appearance alone: that somewhat feral, displaced look, his haircut that seems to have exploded. But especially the piece of black duct tape over his mouth. Sam Wills doesn't say a word. Throughout the entire performance. But he doesn't need to either because with mime, sound and stand-up, he winds everyone around his finger, even without speaking.

Charlie Chaplin


His movements are reminiscent of the father of mime, the French Marcel Marceau, and his disarming imagination is reminiscent of Charlie Chaplin. He unleashes both qualities on all kinds of objects that he tinkers together on the spot and then uses to do totally unexpected things. With music and sound effects, he also creates beautiful and wacky tableaus.
