Pijnstillers by Carry Slee is a musical about Casper. His mother raised him on her own. There is a father, but he has never seen him. One day, she is told that she has cancer and that she can't be treated any further. From that moment on, the young teenager's life is turned upside down.
And there was already so much going on. His best friend has been kissing a boy whose parents are not from the Netherlands and her father mustn’t find out... so she lies and says that she and Casper are a couple, instead. The fact that this girl creates butterflies in Casper’s belly doesn't make it any easier...
This evening, you will experience an exciting musical by the same artistic creators who produced Afblijven, Spijt and Razend. About difficult themes like death and love, the close bond between mother and son, and about new encounters. But also about the most difficult theme, saying goodbye. And yet, especially about the endless energy you feel when you celebrate life as long as life lasts.
