The world famous classical ballet with impressive live music by a grand orchestra. The romantic love story Het Zwanenmeer (Swan Lake) is by the famous trio: choreographers Pepita and Ivanov and composer Tchaikovsky. In this beautiful ballet, you dreamily move through the spellbinding music, the gorgeous perfection of figures and dance, and the stunning costumes. A fairytale spectacle!

Het Zwanenmeer is the romantic love story between Odette and Prince Siegfried. Odette, the queen of swans, and other young innocent maidens have been cursed by Rotbart. They must live their days as swans and only at midnight may they take their human form. Only true love can break this spell. Using his daughter Odile, who closely resembles Odette, Rotbart tries to come between the two lovers.

The Charkov City Opera & Ballet brings this classical ballet to the Parktheater in its own incomparable way. This opera and ballet house produces revitalized productions of well-known major operas and ballets. Partly in the old Eastern European tradition, but also with the aim of giving each performance a contemporary twist. The Charkov City Opera & Ballet comes from the former Soviet Union and the Ukraine. Their performances can be seen all over the world.
