Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov created the legendary choreography to the world-famous music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. A ballet full of spectacular pas de deux, a fearsome battle dance, an exotic Spanish dance and, of course, the Waltz of the Flowers.
It's Christmas Eve at the Stahlbaum family. Clara receives a doll, a nutcracker, as a Christmas present. In her dream, the nutcracker turns into a handsome prince who takes her on a fascinating journey through a fairytale world. The nutcracker leads an army of tin soldiers in an exciting battle against the treacherous Mouse King. After his victory, he travels with Clara to the Land of Sweets. But before the coffee, tea, sugar and flowers are ready, they have to face cold and frost.
A magical theater experience for young and old!
