In Casting the Pass, director Bram Jansen investigates the relationship between perpetrator and victim. The starting point is John Donnelly's play and film by the same name, The Pass.
In the film, a seemingly romantic and erotic interaction between two young football professionals has a major influence on the life and career of one of them. Bram Jansen draws on his own experiences and those of his surroundings.
A young actor is auditioning for his dream opportunity: top footballer in the play The Pass. In the kitchen of the casting director, a psychological drama unfolds in which roles are changed and boundaries are stretched and pushed back.
