Negrociations spans freely across time: at one moment capturing current events, and at another moment permeating the past. The performance confronts you with themes such as human rights, intergenerational conflicts, human relations, inequality and injustice.
Armed with the first names of their superheroes, three friends set out without fear: Feka Anikulapo-Kuti (Nigerian musician and civil rights activist), King Agaja (Benin King) and Nana Yaa Asante Waa (the rebellious Ashanti Queen of Kumasi, Ghana). The actors' own life experiences stand central to the play.
This performance is co-hosted by KONT magazine, winner of the 2018 Eindhoven Cultuurprijs (Eindhoven Culture Award). Editor-in-chief Griet Menschaert will briefly explain how she met director Bodé Owa in Antwerp, and why she is proud to present this performance in the Pand P. Afterwards, you can talk to the actors in a relaxed setting.
