Passionate (literary) stage animal Tom Lanoye is turning sixty. And, the Flemish author wants to celebrate his birthday with a traveling birthday party. During his performance, you can make special requests from Tom’s (living literary jukebox) enormous collection of works. In the second part of the show, Bloednoot (the band that never rehearses) will take the stage and Lanoye, together with contrabass player Nicolas Rombouts and drummer Teun Verbruggen, will blend 'word babble' and the 'language of music'. They’ll play the raw, striking 'blue notes' that characterize Lanoye's work since his first poems and performances in the early eighties.
