The dramatic biblical story about the Jewish exile in Babylon is retold with a grand chorus, international soloists and beautiful orchestral music by Verdi. The cruel ruler Nabucco becomes embroiled in a power struggle with his daughter Abigaille, in which she is ultimately defeated and the Jews regain their freedom. A traditional opera sung in Italian, it features beautiful scenery, breathtaking costumes and heart-rending soloists. Come see the glorious climax of the famous aria Va Pensiero in which the chorus of Hebrew slaves sing about their homeland.
