Youth Theater Wildpark is partnering for this first edition of Wonka on Tour. In collaboration with Luka Kooijmans, this company made the imaginative outdoor performance De monteur en het meisje. A theater performance with live music inspired by the silver pencil awarded book: The Island of Happiness by M. Törnqvist. About the quest of a brave girl, who is looking for the island of happiness.

Let as many children as possible come into contact with theater and give them a fantastic experience. With that in mind, the six collaborating stages (Parktheater, Schalm, Hofnar, Kattendans, Speelhuis and Cacaofabriek) have put their proverbial heads together. Lower theater thresholds so that more people can participate – that is the mission they stand for. Children have their special attention in this case. After all, they are the theatergoers of the future. Theater moves, relaxes, makes you think, confronts, ensures that you learn to perceive differently. They are offering this experience to every child. Since transportation often proves to be a barrier, the idea of Wonka on Tour was born. Bringing theater on location to schools and children.
