Doppio, the student theater association of Eindhoven, will perform Op de dwazen! at the Park theater.

On the contrary!
The search for truth
The painters, the poets, the arts
Cherish the fool who dreams
Flooded with madness and fire
Cherish the heartbreak
That leads us again and again.

We follow Benjamin, a young composer who wants to make a break-through in the big theaters. Shortly before his thirtieth birthday, however, he is overcome with fear and begins to question his life choices.

We also follow Lucas & Noa. Lucas dreams of opening his own café. When he meets Noa – actress-slash-waitress - they find each other through their passions. But they soon find out that love and career don't always make a perfect match. Surrounded by their equally talented friends, they face a choice: work or love. What does your heart say?

Op de dwazen! is a musical by and for people who chase their dreams, despite all the objections and obstacles. Because you just can't do otherwise. Because you just don't want anything else. Because nothing brings so much beauty - and sometimes pain – than just following your heart.
