Climb the sky by NDT 2 introduces two inspiring new choreographers to the company: Noé Soulier and Botis Seva, and marks Crystal Pite's first collaboration with the NDT 2 dancers for her work Ten Duets on a Them of Rescue.

Choreographer Crystal Pite loves the word 'rescue' because it tells a whole story in a single word. In her choreography, she looked for images that evoked salvation and that were already present in the movements as fragments of an untold story. In ten duets, an image of rescue is stored and held for a brief moment of reflection before being released into the dance again.

French choreographer Noé Soulier questions the way we perceive and interpret gestures and explores dance through different techniques. He tries to activate the public's physical memory through movements that refer to absent objects or events.

Botis Seva is an award-winning dancer, choreographer and director who works in the fields of hip-hop, physical theater and contemporary dance. He uses autobiographical experiences to tell a story, and is inspired by film, visual arts and other dance forms to develop his own language.
