Oxytocin is a light dance performance that shows us that the world is not as dark as we often think. You just have to want to see it. And feel it.

In a period of quarantines and social distancing, when we were suddenly no longer allowed to touch each other and had to keep our distance, the phenomenon of skin hunger arose among many. A craving for the cuddle hormone oxytocin. In the same period, the new performance Oxytocin by choreographer Isabelle Beernaert was created. Everyone needs oxytocin every day to be happy. The lack of this substance therefore had a physical repercussion for many people. In the form of dance, she shows her observations about how we have dealt with these feelings.
