With a line-up consisting of the best musicians, writers and journalists in the Netherlands, De Onwaarschijnlijke Elf is the ideal preview in the run-up to the much-discussed World Cup in Qatar. A literary and musical evening full of surprising stories and remarkable adventures.

In this edition we are looking for eleven players who have never played in a World Cup. Think of Jari Litmanen, Eric Cantona or Alfredo di Stefano. We put together our Unlikely Eleven with music, video, stories, sports guests and a quiz. The actors, musicians and journalists provide a juicy, surprising and perhaps even improbable alternative to the lengthy and bone-dry analyses.

The provisional selection includes Marcel van Roosmalen, Frank Heinen, Roelof de Vries, Meindert Talma, Sjoerd Mossou and Michel Doodeman. Who will ultimately be in the basic line-up of De Onwaarschijnlijke Elf – Editie WK ’22 will be announced at the beginning of September.
