It's New Year's Eve in Rotterdam and expat Alice is getting ready to ‘come out’ to her parents as gay. At that moment, her partner Fiona tells her that she too has something to confess. Fiona is eager to continue living as Adrian, a man… Now Alice must face a question she never thought she would have to ask… does this mean she's straight?

At its core, ROTTERDAM is a powerful story about love and identity, about what happens in a relationship when a partner decides to identify as transgender and begins the process of transitioning from female to male.

ROTTERDAM was shown in London's West End in 2016, and in New York, it delivered sold-out halls and rave reviews. The production was awarded an Olivier Award in 2017.
