Dementie met een glimlach
Tue 21 Sep ’2119:30 - 21:00Kameleon
The theme of the evening is whether and how (non-verbal) communication through humor is possible with people with dementia who are deeply entrapped within themselves. You can also apply this to people with multiple intellectual disorders. With a smile in mind.
Are you somehow involved with dementia? Are you a caregiver, care professional, or volunteer? Then this evening is meant for you. This varied evening consists of acts, music and interaction with the audience. The video documentary Ik wil Mieke blijven will also be shown.
A special moment will be the presentation of Arno's Golden Clown Nose Award for a special initiative in healthcare (see www.ArnosGoudenClownsneus.com). This prize is awarded in collaboration with the miMakkus foundation. MiMakkus trains people who use subtle clown tools to make non-verbal contact with people with dementia. Arno Huibers was the basis of this foundation.
- With the collaboration from musician Paul van der Heijden.
- This program partly corresponds to the presentation of the book Dementie met een glimlach in 2018
