A father and daughter who love each other dearly and can hate each other intensely. They can neither live with nor without each other. DOX delivers a highly personal and sensitive story with Daddy and bluntly exposes social problems. Full of powerful language and deep emotions, but also with love and humor.

In the sensitive music theater dance performance Daddy, we see a father battling depression and excessive alcohol consumption. His daughter has a heap of behavioral problems and is in danger of being expelled from school. Meanwhile, both try to evade government agencies and blame the other for all their problems.

Growing up in a single-parent household can cause the development of problem behaviors. Since the beginning of this century, the number of single-parent families has risen sharply. The sadness and feeling of powerlessness over the breakup of a family plays a major role.

The fragile performance Daddy portrays the difficulty of this situation. Where can you find hope when the future is so uncertain? Is listening to one another enough? Daddy is about growing up, isolation and social problems, but it is also full of music. Delicate melodies and a powerful singer take you into the much-sung-about father-daughter theme.

DOX's performances are always about subjects that are familiar to young people. Crossovers between theater, hip-hop, spoken word and dance are favorites, and youth culture is their source of inspiration.
