NK Breakdance crew battles: can be viewed on June 6
During the 20th edition of the DBC NK Breakdance (Dutch B-boy Championships), B-Boys and B-Girls from all over the country compete for the most prestigious breakdance title in the Netherlands. The championship has existed since 2000 and has been the most important National Breakdance Competition in the Netherlands for years.
Open Your Mind: can be viewed on June 10
Open Your Mind is a dance battle in the experimental category, dance culture for the most creative and outspoken personalities of the dance scene. Experimental is a cultural movement that goes beyond urban. Dance development of the 21st century is slowly erasing the boundaries between genres, and that is exactly what OYM offers a competition arena for.
HipHop Kingz: can be viewed on June 15
Present for the second time at Urban Dance Days: HipHop Kingz. Street dance groups will showcase their skills, and an international jury panel will judge the dance groups. A choreography competition in which various trios showcase their choreography to the jury members.
Theater performances: can be viewed on June 7
During Urban Dance Days, you get the chance again to experience the best urban dance theater performances out of the Netherlands. Several performances will be temporarily viewable online: Elements of Freestyle by ISH Dance Collective (on June 7), Boredom 2.0 by Simon Bus and Roy Overdijk (on June 11) and Blurred Lines by Redo & Dominique (on June 14).
