You just have to settle

The creative process is central to this. Every step, experiment and discovery during rehearsals determines which scenes eventually come to life on play. Personal stories, memories and a touch of humor combine to form a performance that gradually emerges from the participants themselves.

Four different groups - Vitalis Peppelrode, Parktheatergroep, Vitalis Wissehaege and tonelgroep Theresia - work under the direction of their own directors toward one collective whole. In doing so, each group brings its own story, atmosphere and signature. For example, Wachtverzachter (Wissehaege) is about waiting and soothing silence by being together. Your photo is a playroom of yourself (Theresia) takes the audience along memories and small moments of happiness. In Bijknippen (Peppelrode) looks at everyday life with humor. And Je moet je maar schikken (Parktheatergroep) explores perspective, difference and possibilities at any age.

Together, these four short productions form a dynamic and powerful whole in which the richness of growing older becomes visible. Step by step, an idiosyncratic performance grows about what it means to conform, without losing yourself.
