UMA is about the struggle of African women against slavery in the Caribbean and South America. With dance and music, Untold and the music group Black Harmony bring to life important, forgotten stories of Solitude of Guadeloupe, Ma Cato of Suriname, Maria of Curaçao, Nanny of Jamaica and Cecile Fatiman of Haiti.

About Untold and Black Harmony
Untold is committed to strengthening awareness around the collective identity, history and future prospects of Afro-Dutch youth. Through theater, performing arts, cultural education and festivals, Untold creates space for stories, expression and encounters. Young and old can find a unique range of African dance styles, music, theater forms, heritage and art.

As a music and performance organization, Black Harmony wants to contribute to the positioning of Afro-Surinamese traditional Apinti and Kawina music. In addition, through performances, workshops and exchange programs, Black Harmony contributes to a nuanced and positive image of black men in Dutch society.

New: Pay what you want

A new series for more adventure in your performance choices. To go 'together' more often. To let yourself be surprised. Pay what you want applies to many family & youth performances, new makers, special productions and groundbreaking programming. When ordering your tickets, you can choose from three different prices. Choose the price that suits you. With your extra contribution, you make it possible for someone with less financial room to attend a performance. In this way, together we ensure that discovering theater remains accessible to everyone.
