With her third production at Toneelschuur Productions, director Jessie L'Herminez stays true to her fascination with classical repertoire and existential questions. Together with actor and writer Vincent van der Valk, she creates a tragicomic adaptation of Kafka's masterpiece that emphasizes the mystery of existence. As a spectator, you are sucked into an oppressive and playful journey in which you spin in circles, returning each time to where you started. A journey with no final destination.
- Due to an injury, the role of Felix Schellekens has past event taken over by Mattias Van de Vijver.
- Please note that some repetitive flashes of light are used in Het Proces.
''An eclectic, claustrophobic performance that, entirely in the spirit of Kafka, gets well under the skin.''
"Het Proces touches on something universal: the despair and powerlessness we feel when confronted with forces beyond our comprehension. Whether these forces are metaphysical, political, psychological, biological, or something else. For me, Het Proces is a playful invitation to surrender to the immense world created by language. And the even greater unexplained dimension behind it." (Jessie L'Herminez)
