Often we can't quite check from the outside what's going on inside. Prikkels puts your inner world in the spotlight. Our body is the space where our inner world is located. Like a house. What if your house has thin or thick walls? Or many windows and doors? And what if you cannot close those openings properly, or if they are always shut tight? Sometimes your house feels too cramped, and then again there is a lot of space. Sometimes everyone and everything can come in, and other times nothing and no one at all. How does it feel in your home?
In Prikkels three actors take you physically and musically into the world of your senses. They explore all kinds of feelings caused by our processing of stimuli. For example, a restless feeling in your body, a pounding head or feeling so open that everything comes in hard.
Together with you, the players discover what someone needs to feel at ease, to process, to recover. How do we discover what we ourselves really like? How do we tune af to the other person?
Performance without label
Young people seem to suffer more and more from overstimulation and burnout. In addition, labels and diagnoses are increasingly being attached to behavior such as ADHD, ADD, Autism Spectrum, Dyslexia, High Sensitivity, etc. In this presentation we assume that everyone has their own stimulus processing system. And even without a diagnosis it is very valuable to become aware of how the world enters you, what you need in terms of prikkels, when it is too much, how you process and how you recover. By getting to know yourself, you can better recognize that things work very differently for other people. And that that is totally okay.
