A utopian world where movement speaks

Paradisum, directed by Bence Vági, explores the myth of rebirth after the silence of a devastated world, where communication takes place with the body and the only common language is movement. The concept plays with the ways in which the new man can exist in this paradisiacal, utopian state.

Paradisum 's powerful and enchanting visual language is based on the aerial and ground genres of circus arts. Recirquel, the world-renowned company from Budapest, has the patent on "cirque-danse" , the genre in which circus and dance merge seamlessly. Six world-class performers bring the show to life, blending their bodies into a choreography that will elevate the performance to great heights.

Paradisum debuted with great success at the international Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland last summer and was selected in the world's top list of most innovative contemporary dance performances at last November's CINARS Biennial.
