For two years Steyn worked in a homeless shelter. He incorporates that experience into a hallucinatory theater trip about life on the streets. An Odyssey, told by an anti-hero. About success and failure, luck and misfortune, right and wrong, fiction and reality.
Apparently, sleeping on the streets is a not-so-distant show. And everyone is not always looking for a home.
In the musical and humorous Moonlight Motel , Steyn plays dozens of personages interchangeably; a virtuoso theatrical tour de force. At the end, he af where his home actually is and if he will ever find it. Steyn de Leeuwe brings the street to the play.
