KID.

KID. is two in one. Two performances at the same time. Two stands with a wall between them. On one side the adults sit watching an 18+ performance about children. And on the other side, children sit watching an 8+ performance about adults. No one knows what is happening on the other side. You hear everything, but it's not always what you think. And what you check is not always what you hear.
Children take their seats in the red plush and are presented with a high-quality, philosophical slapstick show about what an adult really is. On the other side of the wall, backstage, the adults have to assist with all their might to keep the children's performance on track, while enjoying some adult entertainment such as a red wine and some functional nudity.
In KID. we ask the question: what exactly is an adult? When you grow up, are you an adult? When you can afford a house? If you are sad more often than happy? We peel af the adult layer by layer, before the eyes of the children, and before the ears of the adults. KID. is confrontational, revealing and golden for adults, intimate and juicy for children and hilarious for young and old. Afterwards, the conversation between generations continues in the foyer because your child saw the same performance as you, didn't he?
The media about KID.
"With intelligent observation, dryly comic critical humor and particularly infectious acting, BOG. lifts the veil on adulthood." (Etcetera)
"It is hilarious, embarrassing and confronting to hear BOG confess the secrets of adulthood so unashamedly." (De Standaard)
KID. won the Silver Cricket for the most impressive youth production. The youth theater jury wrote about KID.
"KID. is a phenomenal performance in which the generation gap between adults and children has taken the form of a wall. The parents look at the bare backside and become extras, while on the children's side nothing is left unsaid about their parents and adulthood. The text is intelligent, which makes KID. original, confrontational and golden."
