The performance emerged from a confrontational silence following the question "Which Human Rights?" during a collaboration with a theater company in Palestine. That silence is the starting point for a search for the meaning and universality of human rights and the role each plays in them.
A hypnotic live performance focuses on constant transformation. Of form, of voice, of perspective: each song is a visual and musical metamorphosis. Extravagant, self-designed costumes and a rich soundscape of world music and spoken word enhance the experience.
Human(s) Right? offers no answers, but invites you to feel, think and look. Rather than unraveling complexity, the performance reveals the jumble of our time in all its layeredness. A unique encounter between concert and performance, at the intersection of protest and imagination.
