A festive performance by Introdans - completely in black and white style - with a number of virtuoso and vibrant choreographies. In addition to several highlights, the program includes plenty of surprises and inclusive dance encounters.

New makers are introduced and the company looks back on special collaborative projects. For dancers ending their careers is the annual End of Season is the opportunity to shine one last time.

The program includes no less than seven (inter)national ballets. From the acclaimed Susto and humorous SH-BOOM! from 1994 by Lightfoot & Leon, to the Introdans premiere of the duet Mano a Mano by choreographer duo Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich. They call it "a tightrope dance between me and you," danced to the rich music of Astor Piazolla's Otoño Porteño.

A second duet in the program is Po-Cheng Tsai's optimistic Floating Flowers, which he created in 2014 as a tribute to his father. Also featured is the ballet Promenade by choreographer Robert Battle; a dynamic, playful satire about social norms and values.

Also on the program is the solo Caught by choreographer David Parsons; an impressive play with gravity, in which the dancer seems to float through the air, devouring space and then magically coming to a halt again in the center of the play. The final piece of the evening is the iconic In Memoriam by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, with which Introdans captured hearts again this season during the focus program around the top Flemish choreographer.

  • Come this evening - completely in style of the performance - dressed in black and white
  • In the ballet Caught stroboscopic effects are used.
