Can you tell me the way to Hamelin, sir?

The story
The town of Hamelin is plagued by a plague of rats, until a mysterious rat-catcher comes along. In exchange for a pot of gold, he promises to drive out the rats. He fulfills this promise, but the mayor refuses to reward him as agreed. In revenge, the rat-catcher whistles away not only the vermin, but also a group of children from Hamelin and, unintentionally, a number of adults, including Lidwientje, the mayor's daughter. While sleepwalking, they enter Bergkei, a magical world with dwarves and fairies, witches and trolls, where, above all, nothing is what it really seems. Yet the children desperately want to return to their own familiar Hamelin. But how will they ever find their way back?

The musical Kunt u mij de weg naar Hamelen vertellen, meneer? is based on the popular KRO television series from the 70s with well-known names like Rob de Nijs and Loekie Knol in the lead roles. Together with our live orchestra, this performance makes for a fantastic night out for the whole family!
