Everyone gets older, but not everyone grows up. The Brothers van Arkel clearly are. At least, they are working on it. Their father, the pastor, has retired and now it's their turn to become someone. Someone with a vision. A plan. Someone with their own coffee maker, matching tea towels, orthotics and a twelve-piece screwdriver set. Someone who does weekly groceries every Saturday. Who doesn't have so many doubts about everything. Who doesn't have to outdo his brother every time. Someone to whom, without realizing it, you say you.

Jeroen and Martijn van Arkel are brothers, theater makers and finalists of the Amsterdams Kleinkunst Festival 2025. In their first full-length performance Zeg maar u they join forces. The result is a dryly comic performance full of absurdity and unexpected poetry. A quest by two totally different brothers for each other, for being a man, for the best juicer and for something to believe in.
