Following the success of the Agatha Christie triptych(The Mousetrap, Murder on the Orient Express and Murder on the Nile), Rick Engelkes and REP Entertainment are once again bringing a legendary thriller to the theater. This time the equally dark and iconic Hitchcock classic Dial M for Murder. With Caroline de Bruijn and Erik de Vogel in the lead roles, on play together for the first time, this production promises to be a unique and compelling experience. An evening full of intrigue, suspense and unexpected twists.
The life of Margot (Caroline de Bruijn) and Tony (Erik de Vogel) seems perfect. But behind closed doors Tony is hatching a gruesome plan: he wants to kill his wife. While Tony plots with Lesgate (Harpert Michielsen), Margot throws herself into a passionate affair with crime writer Max Halliday (Justus van Dillen). One seemingly simple phone call puts all relations op scherp. What begins as a carefully plotted crime turns into an unnerving cat-and-mouse game full of manipulation, guile and deception. It is up to Inspector Hubbard (Roos van Erkel) to uncover the truth in this sinister showdown, in which nothing is what it seems.
With a rock-solid cast, directed by Jasper Verheugd, Dial M for Murder promises to be this season's must-see for all lovers of thrillers, murder mysteries and true-crime.
