Service desk

Do you have any questions or comments that have arisen during your visit to the theater? Personnel are available for you before the show, during the intermission, and after the show at the service desk, located next to the main entrance box office. Performance programs and hearing amplification devices are also available at the service desk.

Pre-show introductions

For many of our dance, opera and theater performances, you can attend a pre-show introduction prior to the performance. During the introduction, you will receive more background information about the performance, the artists and the choices made by the director. Performance information on the website, in the seasonal brochure, and on the purchased ticket will indicate whether there is a pre-show introduction and where it will take place. Pre-show introductions are free of charge, and you don't have to make a reservation.

For most of the performances, a program booklet or program page is available for you on the evening of the performance. Most performance programs are free of charge.

Intermission during the performance

Whether there is an intermission during a performance is always determined by the performing company itself. The intermission and performance ending times, if known, will mentioned on the performance webpage. The average duration of an intermission is twenty minutes.

Intermission drink

At most performances, a drink is included with your ticket to provide quick service during intermission. Is there an intermission? Then your drink will be ready for you. Is there no intermission? Then you can get a drink before or after at the bar by showing your ticket. Only valid on the day of the performance.

In exchange for your consumption you will receive a drink from the Dutch beverage assortment (coffee/tea, soft drinks, house wine and beer),. For special wines, special beers and spirits you have to pay extra. Performances at Pand P and Natlab do not include consumption.

Show ending time

As soon as the ending time is known, it will be indicated on the performance webpage. Ending times are always an estimate and subject to change. The actual ending time will be influenced by improvisation, applause, encores, etc.

Facilities for the disabled

Parktheater has various facilities for the disabled, such as an elevator, designated spaces for wheelchairs and hearing amplification devices.

Wheelchair spaces

Designated spaces for wheelchairs are available in all of the halls. Wheelchair spaces can be reserved by phone or by filling in the paper order form during the presale event. Unfortunately, these spaces cannot be reserved via the website.

Hearing amplifiers

All of the Parktheater’s halls are equipped with hearing support technology, the Phonak FM system. This system is accessible to people with their own hearing aid devices, but also to people without such devices who only want hearing assistance during a performance. Hearing amplification devices are available at the ticket sales desk before the start of each show.

Useful to know

Mobile phones

Is your phone joining you on your night out? Mobile phones and theater don't go well together. Besides the fact that telephones cause disturbance in the auditorium, they also interfere with the transmitters of the technical equipment. In the Theatercafé, we offer you Huis met een Kluis (House with a Safe) where you can safely store and recharge your phone during the performance.

Free cloakroom

You may store your coat in our supervised cloakroom for free until the end of the performance. The management is not responsible for theft or loss.

Late arrivals

If you are a latecomer arriving after the start of a performance, you may only enter the hall with the permission of our staff in order to avoid disruptions to the performance. If agreed upon by the artist/company, latecomers may be allowed to enter through the back entrance. Please be aware that some companies do not allow latecomers to enter the hall after the performance has begun.

De Lange Tafel
Would you like to meet other people during your visit to the Parktheater? Then have a seat at De Lange Tafel, in the Theatercafé.

De Lange Tafel is the meeting point where visitors can meet others and engage in enjoyable conversation before and after the show, and during the intermission. Come join us sometime! More information
