A variety of services at the Parktheater

Facilities for the disabled

Parktheater has several facilities for assisting disabled people, including an elevator, spaces designated for wheelchairs in the halls, and hearing amplification devices.

Blind and visually impaired

Two performances will be offered that are accessible to visitors with visual impairments. Through partnership with Komt het zien, these visitors will be provided with wireless headphones that give audio descriptions of the performance, and can attend a pre-show introduction given by an interpreter for the blind. Certified guide dogs are welcome.

Wheelchair spaces

Designated spaces for wheelchairs are available in all of the halls. Wheelchair spaces can be reserved by phone or by filling in the paper order form during the presale event. Unfortunately, these spaces cannot be reserved via the website.
All halls and wheelchair spaces are accessible via an elevator.

Hearing amplifiers

All of the Parktheater’s halls are equipped with hearing support technology, the Phonak FM system. This system is accessible to people with their own hearing aid devices, but also to people without such devices who only want hearing assistance during a performance. Hearing amplification devices are available at the ticket sales desk before the start of each show.

Parking spaces for the disabled

Designated parking spaces for the disabled are available in front of the theater building. You must have a valid disabled parking pass. In addition to the disabled parking pass, a parking disc is also required for undesignated parking spaces as the disc will allow you to park in that space for 3 hours.

Coming to the theater with children?

Booster seats are available for our young visitors, and they are readily accessible at all of our children’s performances that take place in the Hertog Jan Zaal. Read more information about coming to the theater with children.
