Drie ‘Grand old ladies’ van de moderne dans
Lucinda Childs’ ‘Chairman Dances’, op de gelijknamige compositie van John Adams, is van alle premières die Introdans de afgelopen jaren uitbracht een van de onbetwiste hoogtepunten. “Louterend mooi”, schreef NRC Handelsblad over dit ruimtelijke dansfeest. Daarnaast danst Introdans ook een nieuw werk van Childs, dat zij speciaal voor dit programma creëert. Van Twyla Tharp het speelse en spitsvondige ‘Junk Duet’ uit haar choreografie ‘Know by Heart’, waarin zij aan de haal gaat met de klassieke pas-de-deux.‘Bench’ van Jennifer Muller is geïnspireerd op de film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ van Al Gore. Haar choreografie handelt over schuld en genade en verbeeldt de ecologische vernietiging van de aarde.

Three ‘Grand Old Ladies’ of modern dance
Lucinda Childs’ ‘The Chairman Dances’, based on the composition of the same name by John Adams, is one of the undisputed highlights of all the premieres Introdans has ever presented. ‘Cathartically beautiful,’ wrote NRC Handelsblad about this spatial dance party. In addition, Introdans also stages a new piece by Childs, which she created especially for this programme. Twyla Tharp gives us the clever, playful ‘Junk Duet’ from her choreographic work ‘Know by Heart’, in which she takes liberties with the classic pas-de-deux. ‘Bench’ by Jennifer Muller is inspired by the movie ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ by Al Gore. Her choreography deals with guilt and mercy and depicts the ecological destruction of the earth.
